Aquarium rental packages

Aquarium rental could be for you, if you like the idea of owning an aquarium but would rather have professionals maintaining it. We established our business in 2013 and now have over 60 aquariums that we care for throughout Cornwall. Below are details of our most popular rental packages and our current special offers. Why choose one of our aquarium rental packages?

We offer full aquarium rental packages that will save you a huge amount on initial cost and installation fees. These deals are set fees so you know exactly what you will pay every month and there are no hidden extras.

It is far better to build up aquarium life slowly over the first 6 to 8 weeks, so during this time we would spend longer on the initial set-up. Consequently for the aquarium rental packages below we estimate a set up time of 10 to 20 hours spread over the first few weeks followed by full maintenance of around 2 to 6 hours a month after that (depending on the aquarium size).

Standard fees are £50 per hour plus preparation and travel expenses whereas with our aquarium maintenance packages we heavily discount this to a set fee per month over a two year period. We would visit as standard twice a month but this monthly fee also covers emergency call outs, so if there is anything that you are concerned about, just call and if we can’t deal with it over the phone we will be happy to come and check for no extra charge.

What’s included

An aquarium rental includes everything you need – replacement parts, water conditioners, livestock and even fish food. We can set up an automatic fish feeder however, we have found that most people prefer to feed the fish personally because your fish will become tamer (we can also give full instruction on feeding amounts). Aquarium lights need to be on a timer, so you won’t need to remember to turn them on & off while the filter and heater will need to run 24 hours a day. We are insured to be key-holders so you don’t even have to be at home or the workplace- but if you prefer to be there we will be happy to see you and try to arrange visiting times that are most suitable for you.

With regards to aquarium placement, a few practicalities are worth bearing in mind;

1. The floor or surface must be level and able to take the weight of the tank.
2. The tank shouldn’t be placed in direct sunlight, near a radiator or too near to a working fireplace. It is also a good idea if it is away from loud speakers and other loud noise sources.
3. We need one electrical socket to run the aquarium (which is safe to run from an extension lead if necessary).

We will choose compatible fish and aim to make a beautiful display with the most colourful tropical fish possible for your specific set up.
